Bon à tirer proof of The Winged Horse, an etching by Carbonell printed at Masafumi Yamamoto’s Barcelona workshop.
This print belongs to Rull (Noies), conceived in March 1985 as a collaboration between Carbonell and Catalan writer Pep Albanell.
A young woman in a spotted dress meets a large winged horse recalling Pegasus. Her hands touch its face against a textured background and abstract clouds. The image belongs to the fourth print in the series.
Hand-printing brings out dense blacks in the ground and finer hatching in the wings and dress. The plate mark defines the printed area.

Condition: Very good overall. Brown stains and a dark mark near the upper left corner are visible in the photographed reverse.
The Taller Note
The winged horse occupies most of the composition; the barefoot woman stands on the right with both hands on its face. Pale wings form tall, pointed shapes against the dark, textured ground. Dots and short lines distinguish the horse, dress and rounded surroundings. Her arms and the animal’s lowered head bring the two figures together at the upper right.
