Enric Beltrán Messa: landscape, architecture and daily life

Enric Àngel Beltrán Messa (Valencia, 1940–2006) was a Spanish painter particularly associated with rural and urban landscape and figurative painting.

He began his training at the San Carlos School of Fine Arts in Valencia and completed it at Sant Jordi in Barcelona. Much of his career developed in Catalonia, with a close connection to Besalú, painting landscapes, villages, rural scenes, urban views and Mediterranean architecture.

His loose figurative brushwork favours atmosphere, light and colour over photographic detail. His work appeared in exhibitions and the Spanish art market over several decades and continues to circulate at auction.

This scene belongs to his recurring interest in everyday rural life, balancing architecture, nature and the human figure.
