The rhythm of colour and line
A large black patch occupies the upper area and extends into a horizontal stroke. To its left, a green form meets a curved red accent; in the lower half, red reappears as a broad band that balances the whole. Black lines, blues and white marks bring direction and contrast to a surface of changing rhythms.
The presence of the support
The paper participates in the composition through its exposed areas and the varying density of the colour applications. Opaque areas coexist with translucent layers and open marks, so the image is built both from the material added and from the spaces that remain visible.
