History and Curatorial Analysis
In these four watercolors, F. Esquerda displays a very recognizable style of Spanish satirical illustration from the 1950s. The work moves away from narrative comics to focus on genre caricature: scenes that immortalize the relationship between the tailor and his client, the business world, and the games of social seduction.
