Original humorous drawing signed F. Esquerdo and dated 1950, executed in ink and watercolor on paper. The work depicts two elegantly dressed gentlemen, immersed in a conversation while one of them shows the other a small document.

On the left, a man with a stylized figure, a grey double-breasted suit, and a hat holds a paper with his right hand. Opposite him appears a character with caricatured features, dressed in a suit with pinkish tones and a bluish tie, who responds with a smiling expression and a hand gesture.

The scene unfolds against a practically empty background, a technique that highlights the interaction between the protagonists. Their postures, gazes, and hand movements thus take on a fundamental role in constructing the visual narrative.

The composition features a clean and expressive black line, accompanied by grey, ochre, bluish, and pinkish washes, applied selectively to define the volume of the suits and the shadows.

The drawing constitutes an example of mid-20th-century costumbrist humor, close to the language of press cartoons and satirical illustrations dedicated to social conventions.
