Maritime imagery and warm sepia
The composition shows a mermaid with a scaled tail among the waves, her hands near her face. Behind her sails a three-masted ship, with pale sails against the sepia sky and a crescent moon in the upper right corner. The contrast between light surfaces and denser ink defines the volumes of the figure, ship and waves.

The Taller Note
