J. Fin’s individual identity José Vilató Ruiz, known artistically as J. Fin (1916–1969), faced the challenge of developing his own voice while sharing family ties and a studio with his uncle, Pablo Picasso. This abstract composition, attributed to him on the basis of strong technical and formal similarities, reflects the creative maturity associated with the post-war School of Paris.
