Original etching on paper by José Niebla, signed in pencil and numbered 101/150. The work also preserves its original presentation folder from the Spanish Railways Foundation, accompanied by documentation and a handwritten dedication signed by the artist himself.
The work
Abstract composition of great graphic strength, structured through broad black masses and a succession of horizontal strokes that generate an intense sensation of movement. Standing out against this monochrome base is a red intervention that crosses the image horizontally and culminates in a circular form, becoming the main visual focus of the composition.
The contrast between black, the white of the paper, and red produces an image of a gestural and expressionist nature. The richness of lines, scrapings, and different ink densities evidences the plastic possibilities of the etching technique and connects directly with the material and expressive language developed by Niebla.
