“Bon a tirer” appears in pencil at the lower left, with the signature “Draper” on the right. Sepia ink, hatching and diagonal shadows distinguish the surfaces of the objects and furniture.

The Taller Note
The sepia ink and diagonal shadows organise this still life with a siphon. The contrasts between the dark areas and the light paper give structure to the objects and allow the direction of the light to be followed.
