Etching by Josep M.ª Draper, signed and numbered 30/65. The scene depicts a mounted picador beside the bull, with bullfighters and capes in the background.
The central group
Horse and picador form the vertical axis of the composition. The bull approaches from the right, while figures with open capes distribute the scene on either side.
Textures and contrast
A grid of lines defines the horse’s protective covering. The hatching of the animals and stands contrasts with the pale ground and the unworked areas of paper.

The Taller Note
The horse and rider form the central vertical group, while the darker bull presses against them at the right. The horse’s protective covering is defined by a grid of crossed lines. Two figures with open capes flank the group in the background. Dense diagonal hatching across the stands contrasts with the pale ground and makes the foreground forms stand out.
