Delicate hand-colored engraving signed “Mir Escudé” and dated 1946, depicting an elegant still life composed of flowers, a fan, a small container, and various objects arranged on a table.
The composition stands out for the fineness of the drawing and an especially light treatment of color. The shades of pink, yellow, green, and blue are applied in a restrained manner, respecting the prominence of the line and giving the whole a delicate and decorative atmosphere.
The piece shows a clear plate mark, characteristic of an intaglio print, and appears to have been subsequently hand-colored. The result combines the graphic precision of the engraving with the uniqueness of an individually colored piece.
The work is also hand-inscribed with a dedication, which reinforces its personal and unique character within the artist’s body of work.

Workshop Note
A work that is particularly attractive due to the combination of engraving and hand-coloring, a technique that gives each copy a slightly different character.
The signature “Mir Escudé” refers to a well-known family of Catalan artists linked to drawing, painting, and the graphic arts. The specific identification of the artist within this family cannot be established with complete certainty from the visible signature, so the piece is presented prudently under the name Mir Escudé, respecting exactly the signature preserved on the work.
