The typographic narrative as a canvas

In this work, Salvador Palou Vilà (b. 1951) abandons traditional canvas to construct his own pictorial surface through collage. The artist covers the rigid support with old newspaper clippings and musical scores, creating a typographic weave that acts as the historical fabric of the piece. Far from hiding this background, Palou applies translucent glazes in yellow and orange tones, allowing the letters and articles to breathe through the color.
