Original large-format work by contemporary artist Sandro Bedini, signed and dated 2012 on the reverse. The composition develops an investigation into space, geometry, and movement through a minimalist abstract language, characteristic of his production during this period.

On a wide white surface appear three three-dimensional-looking geometric bodies, distributed diagonally and suspended in a space devoid of architectural or landscape references.

The largest of these volumes occupies the upper right sector of the composition. Its faces are constructed using extremely subtle differences in white and gray, creating an illusion of depth that demands careful contemplation. Two smaller figures extend the same formal principle towards the lower left, establishing a visual rhythm of progressive reduction.

The chromatic intervention introduces the essential counterpoint of the work. A concentration of pink pigment, accompanied by lines and small scattered particles, seems to head towards the vertex of the main geometric body. The secondary figures incorporate similar gestures of lesser intensity.

The composition thus contrasts two seemingly opposite principles: the precision of geometric forms and the spontaneity of the painterly gesture. The regularity of the volumes contrasts with the movement of the color particles, creating a visual tension that transforms the empty space into an active element.

The chromatic restraint and the use of nearly imperceptible gradations make light one of the fundamental elements of the work.

About the artist

Sandro Bedini is a contemporary painter and muralist linked to the Barcelona art scene, whose work has developed between easel painting, mural intervention, and geometric abstraction.

Initially trained in figurative representation, his trajectory evolved towards an abstract language focused on the investigation of geometric structures, space, and the relationships between control and spontaneity.

The artist himself has defined his work through the concept of evolutionary geometric minimalism, highlighting his interest in pure forms and the transformation processes that can occur within them.

His exhibition activity is documented in various spaces in Barcelona and Catalonia, including the Centre Cívic Guinardó, the Rectoria Vella in Sant Celoni, Makers of Barcelona, and Mutuo Centro de Arte. He has also participated in urban art projects linked to festivals and contemporary creation spaces.

Workshop Note

This painting belongs to a particularly representative moment in Sandro Bedini's geometric investigation. Its composition is based on the relationship between rigorously constructed forms and painterly gestures that introduce movement into space.

The breadth of the white surface, the delicate tonal transitions, and the concentration of pink pigment generate a singular visual presence, in which the seemingly most discreet elements acquire decisive importance.

At 100 × 92 cm, it is a large-format work whose interpretation transforms with distance and lighting conditions.
